Cats behaving badly? In most cases, the behaviour is normal feline behaviour—just not always compatible with our human lifestyles. To help bridge this gap, we offer one-hour behavioural consultations designed to support you and your cat in living together more harmoniously.

During these consultations, we can address a range of common “problem” behaviours, including urine spraying and territory marking, scratching furniture or inappropriate surfaces, aggression between cats, aggression towards humans, inappropriate or excessive play behaviour, and pica (eating non-food items).

We also place a strong emphasis on prevention and long-term wellbeing. This includes guidance on environmental enrichment for indoor-only cats, positive reinforcement and reward-based training techniques, and advice on setting up your new kitten or cat for success from the very beginning with appropriate resources, routines, and environmental support.

Before booking a behavioural consultation, it is important to first rule out any underlying medical conditions that may be contributing to or triggering the behaviour. Some behavioural changes can be a sign of pain, illness, or other health issues, so a veterinary examination is recommended to ensure your cat’s physical health is addressed before proceeding with behavioural support.
