Congratulations on adopting a new little family member, it would be our pleasure to care for your and your new kitten during this exciting time!

We offer complimentary kitten health checks to help give your new feline family member the best possible start in life. This is a basic assessment focused on evaluating your kitten’s overall health and wellbeing, including a general physical examination to ensure they are developing appropriately and appear clinically well.

Please note that this free health check is an introductory service only and does not include vaccinations, parasite prevention, or other preventative treatments. If your kitten requires further care, our veterinary team will discuss the most appropriate next steps and treatment options with you during the visit.

We do recommend that kittens have their first vaccinations at 8 weeks old. Followed by their second vaccinations at 12 weeks old and lastly their third and final vaccination at 16 weeks old. Ongoing, a yearly booster of the F3 vaccination is recommend continuing prevention for your kittens against viruses.

It is recommended to ensure your kitten is microchipped to help reunite you with your kitten in the event your kitten gets lost. Each microchip carries a unique identification number that can be read using a special scanner. This number links to a secure database containing your cat’s and your contact details. Vets, animal shelters, rescue organisations, and some local councils can scan a lost animal and use this information to help reunite them with their owner.

Keep your kitten up to date with worming and other parasite prevention is very important to ensure their health remains optimal.
